Maybe it's time?

It's difficult to know whether to carry on playing live to people or whether to give up the stage. On the plus side, there is an enormous amount of pleasure that I get from playing during the time on stage. The downside of this is, of course, the amount of preparation which has to be made to get in touch with band members, guests, promoters, venues, hotels, printers and such in order that the show can go ahead. I've played on outdoor stages to 50,000+ people on a few occasions and also to one or two people in pubs. As Lee Brilleaux once told me "They have paid money or given up their time to see you play - they deserve the best show that you can give them, no questions".
